This package includes a 90 minute tour of the Rideau Canal where you will discover Ottawa’s rich history. Additionally, it includes a 90 minute tour on the Ottawa River exploring Ottawa from a whole new perspective.
The Rideau Canal cruises will take you back to 1812 when the plan for the construction of the canal was introduced!
The Rideau Canal is a chain of beautiful lakes, rivers and canals winding 202 km from Kingston, at the head of Lake Ontario, to Ottawa, Canada’s capital city.
Our cruises will let you discover the wonderful Rideau Canal, from Dow’s lake to the Ottawa River. Be surprised by the richness and historical landmarks that will offer our cruise!
In 2016, Rideau Canal Cruises began offering sightseeing cruises on the popular Rideau Canal. Visitors can discover the region, its history and rich cultural heritage while cruising on board a brand new electric vessel.
Our North America’s largest 100% electric passenger vessel is the only one of its kind.
As part of the great Ottawa Boat Cruise family, we have over 30 years of navigation experience on the different waterways of the region. Our experienced team will answer your questions and ensure your safety during your trip.
Our Ottawa River cruise offers the finest views along the River. With departures from the Hull Marina in Jacques Cartier Park and the Ottawa Dock, located at the foot of the Ottawa Locks, this 1 1/2 hour tour is the most thorough tour available on the water.
The Paula D is ideal for an excursion. You have the opportunity to see the beautiful landscape of Ottawa, and relax and enjoy a nice cold beverage on the large upper deck. In addition, on the lower deck, our passengers will find our canteen and our bar (with permission to sell alcohol). The cruise offers a spectacular view of the city and allows you to see the river as it was used long ago: as a highway to transport resources. You will also see the natural beauty of the region that captured the imagination of the first European explorer Samuel de Champlain.
